Hello everyone!  We have enjoyed a fantastic tasty chicken lunch served with my beloved’s special potatoes followed by tapioca pudding, which I fancied as I had not had it for a long time and it was lovely.  The chicken casserole was full of flavour and the meat melted in my mouth; it was especially good after the disappointing pork last week, which remained chewy no matter how my beloved treated it!  Today I had the usual tasty lunch for which I am very grateful to my beloved for his expertise as a chef!!  The milk pudding took me back to my mother’s cooking and my father’s love of puddings; I am not sure the pudding came up to mother’s standard but we enjoyed it nonetheless. 

It is lovely today with a blue sky and plenty of sunshine, after the rain and wind, although we were fortunate not to get such storms or excessive winds as down south.  It is lovely to relax with my beloved on a Sunday.

Hello everyone!  Today I had a better day.  I have been more careful this week not to overdo it, and I am ashamed to say that I am still rather overtired!  On Tuesday I set off for a meeting only to find out I had missed it as it was on Monday night!  I felt terrible and got quite upset.  I left a message of apology on our minister’s answer machine and I sent an explanatory and apologetic email.  I had a response and our minister was very understanding, so I feel better now.  I had a proper lunch break at the Acorn Centre, and had a more restful time, which was good. 

This evening we had May to an evening meal, as it was her birthday.  Her family could not be with her, so I invited her to join us.  My beloved prepared delicious oven cooked salmon with wok cooked peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms, and new potatoes.  As usual it was delicious and I had bought a Thornton’s toffee cake for a birthday cake.  We sang happy birthday to her and pulled crackers.  We were pleased that May enjoyed her meal with us and felt that it had made her birthday special.  I am now relaxing with my beloved, enjoying a couple of glasses of wine, and some TV.  This is the day that the Lord has made and I rejoice and glad in it.
